With the new Fieldbus Kit (FBK) from Softing AG, existing HART devices can be quickly and easily interfaced to FOUNDATION fieldbus H1 and PROFIBUS PA. To make it easier for HART device manufacturers to enter the fieldbus market, Softing's FBK offers a profitable alternative to conventional stack integration, which is particularly well suited for small to medium quantities. The use of the same software architecture ensures investment security in case of a later change to classical stack integration on a separate platform. The required FBK schematics are available on request. Besides the included software, the solution also comprises a small, intrinsically safe board with the fieldbus interface (pre-certified for zone 0). The board can be built directly into the existing HART device housing. The connection point is between the HART modulator and the device hardware. Ready-made templates ensure fast software implementation. The templates are predefined to suit most device requirements, while allowing further customization to specific on-site needs. Softing AG will be happy to assist you in the required conformance and interoperability testing upon request. The necessary device description files are also included in the delivery.
