摘要
The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic has reached the most varied localities with different levels of economic dependence on tourism. In this context, this research was carried out in order to identify some of the impacts caused by the Covid-19 pandemic crisis in the municipality of Chapada dos Guimaraes-MT, where the Conservation Units bearing the same name is located, being one of the most important National Parks in the State of Mato Grosso. The study was carried out in the light of the "Theory of the Tourism System" on the grounds that the the pandemic's aftermath had an impact on all components of tourism interconnecting parts of a system and constantly changing as it is influenced by its agents and its environment. The research was of a bibliographical nature for gathering information on the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic geared on economic, social and public policy aspects related to tourism. Data were collected from public agencies for the years 2019 and 2020. As final considerations, it was understood that the recovery of tourism activity and the recovery of humanity from the coronavirus pandemic demand effective action from the public authorities who genuinely prioritize the health and well-being of citizens, and not political-economical and personal factors, and individual attitudes respecting basic biosafety standards to be able to minimie infection levels. The data collected has confirmed a reduction in tourist flows with reduced tax collection, negative job balance and financial implications for companies in the sector.
