摘要
This paper aims to analyze how the increasing globalization is presented in the road trip novel We all loved cowboys (2013), by Carol Bensimon. The study proposes a dialogue between the global and the local in the protagonist's narrative, Cora, who reports a trip to the countryside together with her friend, after they both have lived abroad. We tried to analyze how the local space of the novel is connected to the global; the globalized characters revisiting their place of origin; the immigration issues in the central countries of globalization. The theoretical source was based on identity studies (Stuart Hall); intercultural subjects (Nestor Canclini); cosmopolitanism (Silviano Santiago); among others from the same argumentative line.
