摘要
In this study, a micromechanical model controlled by Stacking Fault Energy (SFE) is developed based on the shear band theory and the similarities between deformation twinning and martensitic transformation. The effects of C contents on the strain hardening behaviours of material are investigated base on the results of the proposed model and the experiments. The mechanism of material composition influencing the strain hardening behaviors of material can be drawn: material composition is revealed to be the dominant factor determining the values of SFE. In addition, the generations of deformation twinning and martensitic transformation are controlled by SFE. Due to the complex coupling between dislocation slip, deformation twinning and martensitic transformation, the material composition determines the mechanical behaviours of TWIP/TRIP steels by influencing the nucleation of deformation twinning and martensitic transformation.
