摘要
The MIF gene as an interesting candidate for the aetiology and severity of Rheumatoid Arthritis was analysed for the G173C polymorphism and the CATT repeats in 119 patients. Our data showed no significant association of the 5-CATT repeat with RA, neither with susceptibility nor with severity, the same was true for the MIF G173C polymorphism. Interestingly we could find a significant correlation between homozygosity for the 7-CATT allele with a strong increase of the disease activity parameters RF and CRP.
