Specificity of Career Planning by Students with the Experience of University Studies Abroad

Rationale. The article presents the results of study of the specificity of career planning by students with the experience of university studies abroad, as compared to the students who did not have this kind of experience, in terms of self-esteem, learning motivation and values. The sample of the study involved 200 fourth-year students of BA study programme at Vilnius Pedagogical University (VPU). The results of the study proved that students with the experience of university studies abroad as compared to the students who did not have this kind of experience better valued their career sucess, they tended to choose different career orientation and they had stronger learning motivation. There were no significant differences found in self-esteem and values orientations in the two groups of students.
