A study on the DC motor speed control by using back-EMF voltage

摘要
This paper presents a method of estimating the speed of a DC motor. Motor control usually attained by the application of a closed-loop speed sensor. However, it is possible to control a DC motor speed without an explicit speed sensor. The proposed DC motor controller uses the back-EMF voltage of the DC motor to estimate the motor current, which then control the PWM voltage to maintain constant speed. This motor controller was successfully developed and implemented together with a real-time PID controller.
