If the SOHO mode Could Be "Copied" Successfully in the Conservation of Industrial Heritage in China

This paper analyzes the connotations of the SOHO mode, the motivations and the problems using it to conserve industrial heritage in China. Based on successful experiences of industrial heritage conservation in the SOHO district, the authors propose that this mode could be "copied" in China. The authors suggest that efforts should be taken in following sustainable development principles, i.e. abiding commercial ethics, expanding city latitude of subordinate cities, and macroeconomic guidance provided by the government, so as to facilitate the conservation of industrial heritages in China.
