摘要
The wool yarns and polyester filaments were stretched with INSTRON instrument while being treated with steam, the basic rule of effects of steam-treatment on tensile properties of the two yarns were investigated under the conditions that the temperature and mass of steam were metabolic but tensile speeds and gauge were fixed, and two forecasting mechanical models of tensile properties of two yarns were also concluded as Tenacity Model(TM) and Elongation Model(EM). The experimental results indicate that there are close relations between tensile properties of wool yarns and steam parameters as temperature and mass, and the maintenance rates of breaking strength, initial modulus and rupture work of wool yarns decreased gradually, but breaking elongation rates of wool yarns increased obviously with the increase of temperature or mass of steam. Meanwhile, the tensile properties of polyester filaments were improved not significantly.
