摘要
This theoretical and practical research adopts a transdisciplinary point of view and proposes a new concept and framework described as Artelligent aimed to facilitate the development of autonomous artwork based on AI techniques that are able to demonstrate creative/adaptative behavior. The word Artelligent has its origin at the junction of Latin words ars/artis and intelligere. The word ars, corresponding to the Greek term t ' ekne, basically describe a practical skill to produce artifacts and, at the same time, indicate knowledge, science or methodology related to some art-scientific theory. In this case, we consider that it involves the expression or an imaginative skill represented in its broader aspects such as painting, music and literature associated with some emotional or aesthetic potential. The word intelligere, also derived from Latin, is at the root of the word intelligent and is a composition of the word inter, that is, between, and legere, which means choose, collect, harvest, gather. Together, inter and legere mean perceive, recognize, understand, understand and perform. An Artelligent system can be defined as an autopoietic system, which through the use of specific techniques of artificial intelligence, represents knowledge in an extensible way and considering the principles that describe the human creative process, is able to demonstrate recognizably emergent results in a given environment. It is also presented a framework in order to clearly define the techniques, concepts and principles that should be applied or considered in order to create such Artelligent systems, especially considering the concepts of autopoiesis, created by Maturana and Varela (1970) and emergence as a heuristic for creativity or novelty creation.
