A new low power transconductor for Gm-C filters

摘要
Low power operation is one of the main goals of modem IC design. In this paper power efficiency of several transconductors is presented and a new low power transconductor is proposed. The proposed transconductor is used to design a 4(th) order Gm-C bandpass filter with 3MHz center frequency and 1MHz bandwidth. The filter is implemented in 0.6 mum CMOS technology, consumes 1 mW from a 2.5V supply and has 61dB dynamic range.
