摘要
Injection of a background plasma into a dielectric Cherenkov maser can effectively increase the beam-wave interaction efficiency and the microwave power output of the device. Here, the effect of the magnetized plasma on the interaction of the dielectric Cherenkov maser is examined by use of the linear theory. The coupled equation of E-mode with H-mode in the magnetized plasma is derived. It's shown that the E-mode and H-mode are undistinguished in the magnetized plasma and the coupling coefficient is wholly determined by the longitudinal magnetic field strength. The uncoupled condition of the E-mode with H-mode is obtained. The dispersion equation of the beam-plasma, dielectric lined slow-wave waveguide with different background plasma densities inside and outside the electron beam is derived. And by solving the dispersion equation, the effect of the magnetized plasma on the linear spatial growth rate is presented.
