摘要
The research of fast position miners in tunnels is of great importance in that it can provide accurate information about where the miners are, and minimize the loss of the disaster. To solve the problem of localization in underground mining areas where GPS positioning is not available, underground miners localization system based on ZigBee and WebGIS technology is proposed. Underground miners are equipped with ZigBee-enabled sensor devices that have the ability to communicate, the devices determine the locations of underground miners in real-time by improved distributed RSSI (received signal strength Indicator)-based algorithm, localization information transfer to ground via ZigBee sub-network and Ethernet which acts as main data transmission channels, server in ground provide the service to display the distribution of miners in the e-map for user via browser. The system can realize localization of underground miners, and can help rescue the victims in the disaster relief work. The system is significant in coal mining industry.
