摘要：

This paper presents results of research regarding the integration of information security team and internal audit staff effort to build an efficient and effective information security in Romanian universities. It outlines the main responsibilities and how they should interact, for the proper functioning of the organization. Results. Research results contain weaknesses and strengths of the university computer system security. Difficulty of including all specific aspects of this topic are complex challenges for research. Originally. Our research is conducted based on a model developed by us for information security. The model is based on four key elements necessary for efficient and effective operation of an information system.
