The use of high speed switched reluctance machine for electric turbochargers

摘要
this paper deals with description of the use of electrically powered compressor for a turbocharged internal combustion engine. The main purpose for use of electrically powered compressor is an improvement of transient engine behavior and increase of the boost pressure at low engine speeds. The compressor is driven by high speed switched reluctance machine, while in this paper the control scheme is described together with its simulation and experimental verification. Experiments are provided within real combustion engine, and are measure on the cylindrical brake MAHA 4x4 with 3x270kW braking power.
