摘要
The aim of this research paper is to describe difficulties in learning statistics and to present recommendations to improve the teaching and learning processes of this subject. Many research studies have shown that ideas of probability and statistics are very difficult for students to learn. Although students may be able to answer some theoretical questions or perform calculations correctly, they may still misunderstand basic ideas and concepts. The programs and points of credits change; also the knowledge level of the students differs from year to year. This situation requires preparation of new appropriate methodological materials. The usage of information communication technologies within the process of teaching statistics provides a possibility to solve applied problems without wasting time on routine calculations. Anyone can learn important ideas of statistics by working hard at it, using appropriate methodological materials and working in practical works.
