摘要：

The durability problems that have been discovered in post tensioned concrete bridges are presented. The tendons and the anchorages in these bridges are failing by corrosion. The loss of the tendons, particularly in a segmental bridge, may cause collapse of the structure. Detailed case studies of two bridges are presented. The role of anchorage details, grouting procedures, environmental conditions, and workmanship upon the problems are discussed. The need for inspections and the methods of inspection are discussed. Current changes in construction practice are summarized.
