摘要：

An object is often described by its contour that is important for reverse engineering. In order to rebuild the CAD model correctly and satisfactorily the paper presents a useful and effective contour segmentation technique of an object described by its contour It extract the dominant points of the contour which are used to decompose the contour to different parts.
