摘要
A novel controlled slew-rate (CSR) output driver is presented to reduce the simultaneous switching noise (SSN). The SSN effects on digital circuits and the noise immunity of the input driver are investigated. Compared with traditional CSR output driver, a combination of the feedback as well as the distributed and weighted structure is adopted to improve the noise performance of the CMOS output driver. A prototype circuit is implemented in 0.6-mum CMOS technology with about 3.6 times noise amplitude reduction in the ground line, which complies with the simulation results of HSPICE.
