摘要
This article is the result of the research project "Reconfiguring Group Social Work in Latin America and the Caribbean". Objective: To understand the historical perspectives, the epistemological paradigms, the theoretical references and the methodological proposals that substantiate the Group Social Work in Latin America and the Caribbean. This article focuses specifically on methodological proposals. Methodology: The research was developed following a historical-hermeneutical approach, with a qualitative documentary approach. Results: The predominance of the analytical empirical paradigm was identified. In an emergent way, proposals from the critical-social paradigm were identified that respond to the Latin American contexts on a perspective of ethical-political actions which contribute to reflection, the generation of knowledge and the praxis of Social Work. Conclusions: It is important for Group Social Work to generate contributions from comprehensive and critical trends, from the reading of the reality of our America.
