摘要：
This paper outlines the concept of seismic design and the limitation of seismic design code as well as the current status of performance-based seismic design in China; and highlights the methods of performance-based seismic design through case study of two high-rise buildings: Guangzhou New TV Tower and Shenyang Henglong.
