Interface phonons in cylindrical GaAs/AlxGa1-xAs quantum dots

摘要
The top interface optical (TIO) and side interface optical (SIO) phonon modes of a cylindrical GaAs/AlxGa1-xAs quantum dot are calculated by using dielectric continuum approach. The TIO and SIO phonon frequencies are found to be rising continuously with increasing x, which is quite different from those obtained for the spherical quantum dots in recent literature.
