摘要
The main objective of the Strategy for Transport Infrastructure Development of the Slovak Republic until 2030 has been to ensure the modern, quality, safe and efficient functioning of all types of transport. The demanding tasks of our society create the need to prepare experts which are capable of dealing with the preparation and management of demanding transport projects. The Faculty of Civil Engineering TUKE provides the traditional education in the field of transport constructions by offering the study branch engineering and traffic constructions, which is focused on the design of building and water structures as well as on the design and implementation of civil engineering constructions, including transport constructions. Based on a detailed analysis of the requirements of professional practice and the faculty scope and options, the new study programs were developed of the 1st and 2nd degree levels. Newly developed programs - Realization of Transportation Structures are a combination of both the knowledge and capacity potential of the two already existing study programs - Structural and Transportation Engineering and Technology and Management in Civil Engineering. The content of education is in line with the evolution of the latest research and innovation trends. The new study programs have brought a new element - students have got a chance to work on their final theses within the internships directly at the working place, so they can participate in searching for the solution to the real-life partial problems using scientific approaches and methods. In this academic year, the first students successfully completed their bachelor studies. The paper describes the phases of planning and implementation of a new interdisciplinary study and the analysis of the success of first graduates.
