摘要
In this paper, a novel ultra-wideband phased array antenna element is designed by improving the traditional wide-angle scanning array of Planar Ultra-wideband Modular Antenna (PUMA). By using the asymmetric dipole arms and a new structure to eliminate the common-mode resonance, the bandwidth of the antenna is broadened and the scanning angle of the antenna is greatly improved. Simulation results show that the proposed antenna can scan up to +/- 60 degrees in the E plane and +/- 45 degrees in the H plane at a 5:1 bandwidth.
