摘要
rare event; thus, data on its incidence are not reported. The clinical relevance is of importance because of the most fatal potential complication, a massive hemorrhage, which may require a hysterectomy in fertile patients who wish to conceive. We report such a rare case. Therapeutic options include conservative measures in the first instance such as local or systemic administration of methotrexate with or without subsequent curettage in combination with measures promoting hemostasis such as a tamponade with a Foley catheter or angiographic embolization of the uterine artery. This paper describes a case of a cervical ectopic twin pregnancy which was treated successfully without complications using methotrexate administered intramuscularly followed by curettage.
