The aim of this study is to develop a scale for self-efficacy of physical education teachers. The study includes 121 physical education teachers working in Usak and Afyonkarahisar Provinces. Expert opinions were taken for form and content validity in the validity study for the scale. While compliance of the data with the factor analysis has been assessed by means of the Bartlet test, the size of the study group was evaluated with the Keiser-Meier-Olkin parameter. Sub-dimensions of the scale have been determined by means of exploratory factor analysis for validity of the structure. The method of principal component analysis was adopted along with the varimax axis rotation test in exploratory factor analysis. Cronbach Alpha internal consistency test was adapted to sub-dimensions and total scale determined as a result of exploratory factor analysis in order to test internal consistency of the scale. It was observed that 36 items factor load values of which were above 0,50 were collected under eight factors whose eigenvalues were higher than I. It was seen that the ratio of eight factors' explaining the total variance was 75,091. An analysis of the Cronbach Alpha internal consistency tests for the eights factors revealed that the a value of all factors was higher than 0,82 and that the a value of the scale in total was 0,95. As a conclusion of the factor analysis, the Self-efficacy scale for physical education teachers consisting of 36 items and 8 sub-dimensions is considered to be a valid and reliable scale for measuring the self-efficacy of physical education teachers.
