Promoting investment in renewable energy

Renewables are attracting increasing interest From the UK business sector in the wake of the Kyoto Protocol agreement on Climate Change. Technological development and implementation expertise mean that the range of opportunity for economically sound renewable energy investments is rapidly increasing. Taking advantage of this will require a more structured approach to developing ideas for investment in renewable energy, careful assessment of the economic and environmental potential of new projects, proper understanding of the broad range of issues involved and careful evaluation of results achieved. Current projects provide a useful lessons for promoting investment in renewable energy, and examples are given.
