A new entropy and logarithmic based binarization algorithm for grayscale images

摘要
This paper describes a new entropy-based binarization algorithm for grayscale images. One of the main features of is the implementation of changes in the logarithmic base to define the ideal threshold value which is a new view in the subject. The bi-level images are compared with versions generated by several well-known thresholding algorithms described in literature.
