摘要
Since the academic study year 2007/2008 the module of the development of business professional competences has been included in the obligatory content of the professional higher education study programs of the 1(st) and the 2(nd) levels of the universities and colleges in Latvia The regulations of the Cabinet of Ministers set the volume of the module, the themes to be covered, and the proportions of lectures, practical activities and the student individual work as well as the methods applied in the teaching/learning process. The profession standards enumerate the knowledge, skills and abilities required in the corresponding profession. However, no regulation specifies which business professional competences should be developed. On the basis of the analysis of the theoretical conceptions in relation to business professional competences the author has worked out a business professional module, which can be used when reading the study course or when working out and perfecting the profession standards.
