FREQUENCY synthesizers are used in almost all modern communications systems, to provide stable signals for transmission and reception The availability of the PSF series of synthesizers from Princeton Electronic Systems (Princeton, NJ) enables engineers to fit a low-noise signal source almost anywhere within a design, without sacrificing output power or overall performance-these compact signal generators measure only 1 x 1.25 in. (2.54 x 3,175 cm) yet provide typically +6 dBm or more output power art selected frequencies from 200 to 2800 MHz.
