摘要
The management of ancillary services may also require pricing of reactive power transmission. In the paper, a simple approach to generation distribution factors for reactive power is presented. The new method is based on the reactive power flow directions and yields contribution of the generators to the reactive power flow on a line. These contribution factors are referred to as nodal generation distribution factors. For their calculation, the data on reactive power flows are needed and no system matrices manipulation is required. These factors have been successfully applied in voltage stability assessment based on power system decomposition. It is also expected that they can be used for protection against voltage instability since they determine the most appropriate generators for such actions, and also for reactive power transmission service pricing.
