摘要
One of the important parameters in electrospinning process is the distance between tip and collector also known as electrospinning distance. Insufficient distance would produce fibres with various defects. This paper explores the influence of electrospinning distances on fibre diameter of poly(vinyl alcohol)(PVA) electrospun nanofibres. PVA nanofibre samples were produced at a constant applied voltage but varying electrospinning distances. The morphology of the nanofibres were observed under scanning electron microscope and ImageJ software was used to measure the fibre diameter. Knowledge gained from this study is useful for finding an optimum condition for producing defect- free fibres.
