摘要
Preparation of composites composed of cellulose and a polystyrene-type polymeric ionic liquid was carried out using an imidazolium-type polymerizable ionic liquid having two polymerizable groups as a source of one component. Ability of the ionic liquid that partially disrupted crystalline structure of cellulose was estimated by the X-ray diffraction (XRD) and TG measurements of pre-treated cellulose in the ionic liquid. Preparation of composites was carried out by in situ polymerization in the pre-treated mixture in the presence of AIBN. The analytical results of the obtained composites by the above measurements indicated that crystalline structure of cellulose was partially disrupted to form noncrystalline structure. Furthermore, the stress-strain curves of the composites were measured by tensile tester. (C) 2007 Published by Elsevier Ltd.
