PECULIARITIES OF VENTURE CAPITAL IN FINANCING THE EARLY STAGE BUSINESS IN LITHUANIA

The phenomenal venture capital network growth in the Silicon Valley (United States) is the main focus of many studies, and still the prerequisites for its success story are scrutinized. Many significant literature bodies have paid a lot of attention on the development of venture capital market in worldwide regions. Yet nonfiction literature in the scope of venture capital market in Lithuania is poor. Venture capital investments in breakthrough innovations as well as early stage business are the focus of European Union initiatives. The present paper contributes to the existing literature, which focuses on the venture capital impact on the early stage business development.
