摘要
Demand for broadband communication is increasing day by day throughout the world. Broadband communication on the power line is a novel tool for communication and access to the internet with the help of existing Electrical distribution network. The channel modeling is very challenging due to absence standards of wireline and diversity and harshness of the powerline network. The development of broadband Powerline communication (BPLC) requires channel modeling. This paper discusses the comprehensive study of the various channel modeling techniques used for the power line network. We introduced Transmission line theory to model the powerline channel. In this article, We have described the ABCD two-port model of a low voltage distribution powerline and then using line parameters and derived the transfer characteristics.
