摘要
A design of slot array antenna which resonant frequency at 120 GHz is presented in this article. The proposed slot array antenna uses center-fed with microstrip line, with wave port excitation for its input port of the antenna, and the input impedance of the antenna is 50 Omega. A specific structure of this antenna is proposed and described as follows. The microstrip line lies on the bottom of the dielectric substrate and above the dielectric substrate is ground [1]. Inspired by the single slot antenna [2], I carve three slots in the ground, and, these three slots are equal size and equal distance. With these changes, it is evolved into the structure of a slot array. The proposed slot array antenna has a better bandwidth and directivity when compared with the single slot antenna. The antenna of small size, simple structure, easy to manufacture, and is a kind of antenna at millimeter-wave frequencies, a rational use of the rich high-frequency resources. Using HFSS software for antenna modeling and simulation analysis, and taking the length of microstripline, the width of microstrip line and the gap width as the parameters which are going to be optimized. Simulated and measured results show that the proposed slot array antenna achieves a return loss lower than -15 dB over the frequency band of 115.0-123.5 GHz, with a well bandwidth and return loss at 120 GHz. Moreover, by making the use of knowledge of basics of antenna design I have already mastered, coupled with the analysis of large amounts of simulation data, obtained the regular pattern about what parameter's variation will affect the antenna performance and how to affect.
