Design and Simulation of the Micro Heat Sink with Unfolded Phyllotactic Pattern of Needle Pillar

摘要
In order to improve the heat dissipating performance of the micro heat sink, a new type of the micro heat sink with the phyllotactic pattern of the needle pillar is designed based on the plane unfolded form of Van Iterson model. In this kind of the micro heat sink, the geometric position of the cooling needle pillar is the maximum filling and complementary, and a reasonable space air flow channel can also be formed, so that the cooling efficiency can be improved. In the paper, the temperature field of micro heat sink was simulated by using Fluent, and the influences of the phyllotactic coefficient and needle pillar diameter on the cooling performance of the micro heat sink were obtained. The results have shown that the heat dissipating performance can be improved by using the phyllotactic pattern of the needle pillar.
