摘要
With the development of the power system, reliability evaluation method based on Monte-Carlo simulation (MCS) tends to be more computation intensive. More attention has been paid to improving the efficiency of reliability evaluation. This paper investigates two recent advanced techniques which aim to accelerate reliability evaluation: Intelligent State Space Pruning (ISSP) and Cross Entropy (CE), and proposes the comparison between the two techniques and crude MCS which are all tested on RTS79. The test results show CE superior to ISSP in terms of computational efficiency.
