摘要
In this paper, a novel partial-capacity converter (PC) configuration is proposed for advanced co-phase traction power supply system. This converter is characterized with a reduced capacity compared with the conventional full-capacity converter which must be capable of transmitting the total load power. For capacity reduction, a Scott traction transformer is connected in series with the proposed converter. The basic operation principle is described and the control strategy is developed for power conditioning requirements. The feasibility of the proposed converter and control strategy is validated by the simulation.
