Stress corrosion cracking of carbon steel in hydrogen sulfide aqueous solution

摘要
PH solution has great effects on stress corrosion cracking (SCC) for carbon steel in hydrogen sulphide environments. This paper focuses on the susceptibility of SCC for 16MnR in hydrogen sulphide aqueous solution. Experiments were conducted by slow strain rate testing (SSRT) in two stages. Namely wide density ranges of H2S, Cl- and wide pH and temperature range for the first test stage. Then, there are wide pH range of test solution for the second stage where the SSRT conditions are aqueous solution with 260similar to410ppm H2S and 270ppm Cl- in the pH range of 5-9 at 65 degreesC. These tests were arranged according to the uniform design method. Equations of stress corrosion susceptibility index are regressed by test data to show the effects of pH solution on the SCC of carbon steel.
