摘要
A circularly polarized (CP) microstrip antenna with wide axial-ratio beamwidth is presented for global navigation satellite systems. Four unequal 90 degrees sectors are truncated symmetrically at four corners of a square patch and four slits along the orthogonal axes are cut on the patch for CP radiation and compact antenna size. The 3-dB axial ratio (AR) bandwidth of the proposed antenna is 16.0 MHz (1.566-1.582 GHz) with a 3-dB AR beamwidth around 170 degrees within the bandwidth and the 10-dB return loss bandwidth is 64.0 MHz (1.543-1.607 GHz).
