摘要
In the health-related equipment industry, there is the challenge of how to effectively test the devices to be introduced into the human body. One approach is the development of a blood circulatory system simulator for in vitro testing of cardio devices. However, this simulator depends on a proper understanding of the cardiovascular system functioning, not only from the viewpoint of blood flow, but also under the occurrence viewpoint of events that change this system operation mode. This paper thus presents a survey of works that approach different forms to model the blood circulatory system, besides introducing the concept of hybrid systems (discrete event systems combined with systems of continuous variables) to comprehensively model this system.
