摘要
In the development of hightemperature superconducting (HTS) power machines, it is necessary to develop the HTS termination. The HTS termination system is composed of a conductor, insulating material and electrical insulation at cryogenic temperature. In particular, the insulation body with sheds and electrical insulation at cryogenic temperature has attracted a great deal of interest from the aspects of the size, weight and efficiency of termination. In this paper, we investigate the surface discharge characteristics on the shed and insulation body against glass-fiber reinforced plastics (GFRP) in liquid nitrogen (LN2). The surface discharge characteristics of GFRP in LN2 were successfully performed according to directions of glass-fiber, diameter, length, width and height.
