Growth and Promising Electrochemical Property of CuO Nanowire Arrays on Nickel Foam

摘要
CuO nanowire arrays are successfully grown on nickel foam by simple one-step thermal oxidation of e-beam evaporated Cu film in air. The CuO nanowire arrays are used as electrodes for lithium ion batteries and deliver stable reversible capacity of 692 mAh g(-1) after 50 cycles at a current density of 100 mA g(-1). Such superior electrochemical property makes the CuO nanowire arrays on conductive nickel foam have promising applications in lithium ion batteries.
