Nasal high-flow oxygen supports endotracheal intubation

摘要
In der Neonatologie ist bei der Anlage eines Endotrachealtubus haufig mehr als ein Versuch notwendig. Dies fuhrt oft, wegen der geringeren funktionellen Residualkapazitat und des hoheren Sauerstoffbedarfs, zu einer Sauerstoffentsattigung. Wiederholte Intubationsversuche erhohen das Komplikationsrisiko. Im Rahmen einer australischen Studie wurde daher untersucht, ob eine begleitende nasale High-Flow-Sauerstofftherapie die Erfolgsrate der Intubation steigert.
