摘要
In this study, the author proposed the effect of chemically treated on a quartz glass substrate for nanodots formation using the self-organization process. Firstly, the quartz glass substrate was etched by sputter etching machine. Secondly, the N-butanol is treated on the substrate. Then, deposition of a gold thin film on the substrate. Finally, self-organization method of nanodots on a substrate by a thermal dewetting process. The surface energy of the substrate is reduced by the chemical treating and effect to increase the contact angle of gold nanodots on the substrate. It is confirmed that the chemical treated is useful to control the dot size of gold nanodots on substrate experimentally.
