摘要
Information and communication technologies are important in many fields of medical education. Modern forms of medical education with the use of e-learning are realized at Jessenius Faculty of Medicine Comenius University in Martin (Slovakia) throught educational portal MEFANET. The subject Immunology is regarded as an integral part of medical education. Diseases of the immune system and their diagnosis represent a very serious issue in the field of immunology. Knowledge of the principles of diagnosis in immunology is crucial not only for immunology, but also for microbiology, pediatrics, rheumatology, pneumology, dermatovenerology and for many other medical fields. The new project created at JFM CU in the field of immunology is focused on the processes of laboratory diagnostics. The main goal of the project is to prepare the interactive learning materials suitable for all groups of medical students studying in slovak as well as english language according the type of sense preferable by students in the learning process (visual, aural, read/write or kinestetic). Use of e-learning will make it possible to create the learning materials for individual groups of students according to their preferred learning style. This will enable many of the students to make a success of their study. Online learning methods offer higher flexibility as well as accessibility of relevant information anywhere, any time to anyone in medical education. By gaining quality knowledge throught e-learning outputs, students will able to make better profesional choices in the future, which is why this new approach in education is crucial. Effective education is a priority for quality improvement of the pedagogical process at our faculty. Some of the partial results of the realized project are presented in this study.
