摘要
The number of extended reach horizontal Wells is increasing as operators seek to maximize well production. As die length of the horizontal section increases, so does the challenge of openhole stimulation. The Full-length paper reviews stages of planning, design/modeling, and, operations required to stimulate a deep openhole horizontal re-entry well with coiled tubing (CT). The well was completed to a depth of 21,670 ft with end of tubing at 18,308 ft. The 3,363-ft openhole section was drilled with a 57/8-in. bit. A 1 3/4-in. tapered CT string was designed to reach total depth (TD) unassisted by any extended-reach bottomhole assembly (BRA).
