Benefit of New Varieties Breeding for Plant Production

摘要
Breeding benefit of new winter wheat varieties was evaluated in the period 1970-2010. Statistical file was consisted from data of 133 varieties on 22 localities minimally 3 years in VCU testing. Results of longtime set of variety experiments confirmed not only important influence of varieties on yield, but mainly permanent increase of performance of new winter wheat varieties. Average annual increase of yield was 77 kg per hectare. Decade differences were between 63 to 100 kg per hectare.
