ON-LINE SOLVING OF LINEAR AND INTEGER PROGRAMMING PROBLEMS

Linear and mixed integer programming problems belong to one of the most often used optimization problems in practice. A necessary condition for a successful solving of large-scale optimization problems is using of high-quality professional optimization solvers. Unfortunately, availability of such solvers is often very limited for typical users. The paper informs about current solvers for the mentioned class of problems. Further, it informs about NEOS project that offers free on-line solving of optimization problems with professional solvers within Internet environment. Finally, a demonstration how to use NEOS server for linear and integer problems is provided.
